Baker men drop a heart breaker in overtime

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Culver-Stockton's Phil Peugh stole the show Saturday afternoon in Baldwin City. Peugh recorded a team-high 24 points while shooting a whopping 62 percent from the field and recording the game-winning three-pointer for Culver-Stockton (3-12, 1-4)

Baker (7-7, 0-4) was led by Andre Strozier who recorded 19 points and 14 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season. Jaris Wommack and Malcolm Greer recorded 12 and 11 points respectively.

The crowd had a buzz of its own after the game was sent into overtime, and despite the energy, Baker wasn't able to mount the last-second charge it needed at home. Brock Entner got a shot off with 1.2 seconds remaining, only to see it rattle the rim and bounce out.

The Wildcats will return to action Thursday when they travel to William Jewell College for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
