Vikings roll to victory over Baker 78-59
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - At times, Baker showed it could hang with one of the top teams in the conference. However, head coach Rick Weaver knew it would take a full team effort to defeat the Vikings, "To beat a good team you've got to have five or six guys get hot. That unfortunately didn't happen today."
Baker closed the gap to within five points midway through the second half, but ultimately the Vikings proved to be too much.
Junior Austin Bond (pictured) recorded a game-high 15 points and five rebounds. Malcolm Greer chipped in with 14 points and Brock Entner scored 11. Baker shot only 66 percent from the foul line, compared to Missouri Valley's 79 percent.
The Wildcats will be back in action Thursday when they travel to MidAmerica Nazarene University to face the Pioneers at 7:30 p.m.
