Jaris Wommack (pictured) scored 14 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the field, but it was the hot shooting of the Ravens that sank the Wildcats.
Benedictine (4-3, 1-0 HAAC) shot 48 percent (22-of-46) from the field while knocking down 50 percent (7-of-14) of its three-pointers.
Austin Bond was the only other Wildcat to score in double figures with 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field.
“We knew it would be a challenge playing four teams in one week,” said head coach Brett Ballard. The Wildcats will look to regroup before Saturday afternoon when they host Lindenwood University at 4 p.m.
“Lindenwood is a very well coached and talented team,” added Ballard. “Anytime you are the underdog playing a highly ranked team you need to bring a tremendous amount of energy into the game. Talented teams like Lindenwood feed off of mistakes. We will need to execute and keep our mistakes to a minimum.”
