SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The offensive output was better and Baker stayed with the No. 22 Crusaders for most of the game on Monday evening, but Evangel’s steady offensive attack sank the Wildcats 75-66.

Senior Jaris Wommack shot 11-for-18 from the field while going 4-for-8 from beyond the arc en route to a career high 27 points. Jack Shortell led the Wildcats defensively pulling down six rebounds and recording two steals. Andre Strozier also added 15 points in the contest.

Evangel had three players score in double figures, Spud Harbour (18), Mike Storey (14) and Mitch McHenry (11).

Baker will look to pick up its first HAAC victory on Thursday evening when the Wildcats host Central Methodist University at 7:30 p.m., from the Collins Center.
