Wildcats fall to No. 23 Columbia College
Corey Anderson scored a career-high 11 points in the loss
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Baker men’s basketball team dropped its second consecutive game on Saturday evening to No 23 Columbia College 45-69 in the final day of the Columbia College Classic.
Corey Anderson led all Baker scorers with a career-high 11 points, but the hot shooting of Columbia College stifled the Wildcats chances of pulling off the upset bid. The Cougars’ shot 46 percent from the field and outrebounded the Cats‘ 37-26. Henrique Medeiros led the Columbia with 13 points and three assists.
"We played with good energy tonight," said head coach Brett Ballard. "Columbia College is a definite top-10 NAIA team and when they shoot the ball like they did tonight, they're gonna be tough for anyone to beat."
Baker (4-9) will return to action on Monday evening when it travels to Bethany College (Kan.) for a 7 p.m. tipoff in Lindsborg.
