Baker men cruise to 76-50 victory over Peru State College

PERU, Neb. - Corey Anderson led all Baker scorers witha game-high 16 points on Thursday evening, helping Baker improve to 3-1 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference with a 76-50 victory over Peru State College.

Baker (10-5 overall, 3-1 HAAC) jumped out to an early 13-0 lead within the first seven minutes of the game and never looked back from that point forward, taking a 41-28 lead heading into the break.

Todd Eils added to the scoring attack with 13 points, while Ben Steinlage and Jack Shortell each chipped in with 12 and 11 points respectively.

Baker finished the game 29-for-63 (46 percent) from the field and 7-for-16 (44 percent) from beyond the arc. Jack Shortell finished the contest as Baker’s leading rebounder with nine boards.

Peru State (1-15, overall, 0-4 HAAC) had only one player finish the contest in double figures as Brett Pierce scored a team-high 10 points.
