BU Posts 1-1 Record at CC Tourney

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Baker University head coach Sean Dooley returned to his former home to face his alma mater this weekend, as the Wildcats went 1-1 at the Columbia College Hampton Inn Classic.

Coach Dooley and the Wildcats defeated Missouri Baptist, 78-74, on Friday evening and then fell to Dooley's alma mater No. 4 ranked Columbia College, 105-71, on Saturday afternoon.

Baker currently stands at 4-4 and next takes on No. 15 MidAmerica Nazarene this Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. for the HAAC Conference opener inside the Collins Center.

Two Wildcats earned spots on the All-Tournament team, as EJ Carter and Jared Fulks were both named to the All-Tournament squad.

Carter put up 17 points in the Wildcats win over MBU and a team high 22 against Columbia, while Fulks dropped six against CC and 20 against the Spartans.

Javeion Gray also scored in double figures against MBU on Friday, as he poured in 15 and the Wildcats outrebounded MBU, 34-28, and shot an impressive 20-of-28 from the free-throw line.

Coach Dooley served as the lead assistant to Hall of Fame coach Bob Burchard for five years at Columbia and graduated from CC after a stellar playing career in 2002.
