Baker improved to 5-4 and 1-0 in the HAAC and dropped MNU to 7-2 and 0-1 in both teams conference opener.
Baker trailed 55-40 at the break and then stormed back to outscore MNU, 50-30, in the second half and EJ Carter broke through the Pioneer defense for 24 points and seven rebounds and was a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line.
Fellow teammate Javeion Gray was also perfect from the line on 9-of-9 from the line and poured in 23 points. Senior Todd Johnston also had double figures with 17 points and hit three, three-point field goals.
MNU's largest lead came with 52 seconds left in the first half, while Baker's came with 16 seconds to go when they were up 10, 90-80.
There were only three lead changes in the contest and the score was tied just three times.
Luke Thomas had 20 points in the first half for MNU, and then went cold in the second, scoring just eight points.
Conner Langrehr had 23 for MNU and Brandon Newton also had double figures with 14. The 'Cats also pulled through despite being outrebounded, 37-28.
The Wildcats will have a few days off before next taking on Graceland on Dec. 14 on the road at 4 p.m.
