With a team high 17 points from Jared Fulks, Baker was able to improve to 7-6 on the year, while MC fell to 7-8 and the Wildcats avenged its earlier loss to the Bulldogs back on Nov. 23, 80-79.
McPherson had the edge at halftime, 31-27, but then Baker completed its comeback by outscoring the Bulldogs, 38-32, in the second half.
Also scoring in double figures for BU was EJ Carter with 11 and 12 points from Jauan Wilson. Baker had the rebounding edge, with a 43-35 edge and Baker held MC to just 5-of-17 from behind the three-point line.
Both teams took care of the ball well, with just 11 Wildcat turnovers and only 10 for the Bulldogs.
Connor McDaniel put together a solid game with his seven points and six rebounds and Carter led the team with eight boards.
Baker will take on Bethel (Kan.) in day two of the McPherson Classic on Saturday at 2 p.m.
