For the second straight day, the Wildcats trailed for most of the second half and by as many as 10 points in the final half.
But with three key free-throws down the stretch by Javeion Gray, the Wildcats came home with a sweep of the McPherson College Classic.
The contest featured 10 ties and the Wildcats went to the free-throw line 31 times, shooting 20-of-31 for a percentage of 64.5.
Jauan Wilason was the only Wildcat to score in double figures with his 10 points, but Gray poured in seven points and EJ Carter and Todd Johnston each had six points
Baker outrebounded Bethel, 39-33, and Eric Watson had a team high nine boards, while Connor McDaniel grabbed seven.
The Wildcat defense caused 17 turnovers and held Bethel to just 4-of-18 from three-point range.
Baker will next take on nationally ranked Benedictine College on Thursday, Jan. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Atchison, Kan.
