Full Slate of Activities set for Saturday

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Collins Center on the campus of Baker University will be full of activities for Wildcat fans to escape the cold winter weather this Saturday, Jan. 11.

The Wildcat men's and women's basketball teams will host Culver-Stockton for a HAAC doubleheader on Saturday, as the women's squad will take on CSC at 2 p.m. and the men's team will host No. 19 ranked Wildcats at 4 p.m.

It will be a special afternoon for some special Baker alums as well, as the HAAC champion 1988-89 men's basketball team will be honored on the court before the 4 p.m. tipoff of the men's game.

A majority of that team will be in attendance including head coach Rick Weaver and 88-89 HAAC Player of the Year John Smith.

Also performing at halftime will be Centralia, Kan., native Bob Fisher who will attempt to break the Guiness Book of World Record of free-throw shots made in one minute.

Saturday will also mark the first event promotion day from the Baker athletics department. Beginning at halftime of the women's game and through the men's game, all fans that enter the contest wearing Baker apparel will receive a Baker Foam Finger.
