The loss was the fifth-straight for the Wildcats and fourth-straight by six points or less. The Wildcats are now 8-11 on the year and 2-6 in the HAAC, while Peru St. improved to 8-10 and 3-5 in the conference.
Four Bobcats scored in double figures but only a total of seven players scored a point for Peru St., while EJ Carter (14), Todd Johnston (13) and Eric Watson (10) scored in double figures for BU.
Carter was very efficient from the floor, shooting 4-of-5 and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line, while Todd Johnston connected on three, three-point field goals.
Baker had just three assists on the night, while Peru State only had five and Baker committed just 10 turnovers, while Peru State had 12.
The Wildcats will return home this Saturday, Jan. 25 to take on Missouri Valley at 4 p.m. inside the Collins Center. Saturday will also mark the annual Coaches vs. Cancer game in which coaches from Baker and Mo Valley will be wearing sneakers with their suits to spread awareness for cancer research and the American Cancer Society. All proceeds and donations from the game will go to the American Cancer Society.
