BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University men's basketball team dropped another close contest on Saturday afternoon, losing to Missouri Valley, 73-67, to fall to 8-12 overall and 2-7 in the conference.

The Vikings improved to 11-9 and 4-5 in the HAAC and posted four double-digit scorers on the night. Saturday also marked the second-straight game that the Wildcats scored 67 points, as they lost to Peru State, 68-67, on Thursday night.

EJ Carter had a strong game for the Wildcats with his team high 18 points and senior Todd Johnston added 13.

What hurt the 'Cats the most on Saturday was its 17 turnovers and the Vikings took advantage and scored 21 points off of those turnovers.

The Baker bench came up big with 29 points and Connor McDaniel, Eric Watson and Johnston were key off the bench, as McDaniel and Watson each had six points apiece.

The Wildcats will next face off against rival MidAmerica Nazarene next Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Olathe, Kan.
