BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Melvin Tillman had a game high 28 points and the Central Methodist Eagles held Baker to just 27 first half points en route to a 76-68 victory on Saturday afternoon.

Baker fell to 2-9 in the HAAC and 8-14 overall with the loss, while the Eagles improved to 13-9 and 6-4 in the conference.

Tillman was 8-of-15 from the field and added six assists. The Wildcat leading scorer was freshman Javeion Gray who poured in 20.

Todd Johnston was efficient for the 'Cats with his 4-of-7 from behind the arc and 12 points, while EJ Carter had 15 and six rebounds.

The Eagles shot 53.5-percent from the field and caused 14 Baker turnovers. Johnston had four of the Wildcats six three-point field goals and Connor McDaniel and Tyrome Parker had the other.

The 'Cats will take a week off until its next game, as they host Graceland on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 4 p.m.
