No. 16 BC Takes Down BU, 62-51

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – No. 16 Benedictine defeated Baker University, 62-51, on Thursday evening inside the Collins Center and picked up the season sweep.

The Ravens improved to 17-6 overall and 10-3 in the HAAC and are all alone in first-place in the conference standings one game ahead of No. 10 Culver-Stockton (9-4) and No. 17 Evangel (9-4).

The Wildcats fell to 3-10 in the HAAC and 9-15 overall and will take on No. 10 ranked Culver-Stockton on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 4 p.m. in Canton, Mo.

Baker held BC's leading scorer to just three field goals, but Charlie Wallrapp was still able to score a game-high 16 points after going 9-of-11 from the free-throw line.

Javeion Gray led the way for Baker with his 15 points and EJ Carter added 13 with four rebounds.

Baker's defense did cause 16 Raven turnovers and held BC to only three offensive rebounds.

Both teams had 19 points each from its bench Baker turned the ball over 12 times. Connor McDaniel had a team high seven boards and Jared Fulks and Tyrome Parker were the only two 'Cats to score a three-point field goal.
