Baker men face Tabor College Monday evening
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The Baker men's basketball team will be back in action Monday when they host Tabor College,1-5, at 7:30 p.m. The Wildcats, 5-2, have three players averaging double figures: Andre Strozier with 13.6, Austin Bond with 13.4 and Malcolm Greer with 13.4. Strozier who also averages 8.9 rebounds per game and has recorded double-doubles in three contests this season.
On Saturday evening the Wildcats defeated the University of St. Mary, 95-87. Andre Strozier recorded a season high 26 points while shooting 8-11 from the floor and 4-4 from beyond the arc.

Baker men defeat University of St. Mary
LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - The Baker men's basketball team continued its winning ways on Saturday evening when they defeated the University of St. Mary 95-87.
Andre Strozier recorded a season high 26 points while shooting 8-11 from the floor and 4-4 from beyond the arc.
Four players scored in double digits: Strozier with 26, Brock Entner with 17, Jaris Wommack with 17 and Austin Bond with 13. The balanced attack was key. Team scoring leader Malcolm Greer chipped in with nine points while pulling down two rebounds. Baker now owns a 5-2 record on the season.

Baker men travel to Leavenworth for rematch with St. Mary's
LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - The Baker University men's basketball squad looks to extend its winning steak to four games this evening when they face St. Mary's.
Baker holds a 4-2 overall record, while St. Mary's comes in at 5-1, riding a five-game win streak, a streak that started the last time the two teams played.
In the Wildcats' first game of the season the Spires defeated Baker, 66-64. Malcolm Greer with 15 points and Andre Strozier with 17 led the Wildcats offensively.
Senior Malcolm Greer (pictured) leads the Wildcats in scoring on the season, averaging 14.2 points per game. Greer has recorded two double-doubles on the season, one of which came the last time these two teams met.

Baker upends Kansas Wesleyan
SALINA, Kan. - The Baker men's basketball team improved its overall season record to 4-2 on Tuesday evening, defeating Kansas Wesleyan 63-60.
The Coyotes took a nine-point lead early in the first half, but the Wildcats battled back to trail by one heading into the break.
Three players scored in double digits: Austin Bond with 16, Manuel Medina with 16 and Malcolm Greer with 13. The Wildcats shot 44 percent from the floor and 50 percent from beyond the arc. Manuel Medina was the only nonstarter to record points in the contest.
The Wildcats will be back in action Saturday evening when they travel to St. Mary to face the Spires in Leavenworth, Kan.

Four players score in double digits as Baker rolls
OTTAWA, Kan. - Baker wasted no time dumping Ottawa for the second time this season on Saturday evening. The Wildcats outscored the Braves 52-26 in the first half, ultimately paving their way to victory
Austin Bond had 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field. Andre Strozier recorded his third double-double of the season, scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Baker assistant coach Pedro Dos Santos believes this Baker squad will open some eyes this season. "We have a lot of players who can do a lot of different things for us. Some will score 17 points on one night and the next score six. We're pretty deep," said Dos Santos.

Greer's double-double leads Baker past Bethany
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The Wildcats took a four-point lead into halftime before they really got things rolling in the second half to defeated Bethany 71-60.
Senior Malcolm Greer had a big night, leading the team in scoring with 18 points, 12 rebounds and two blocked shots.
The game was over when Andre Strozier (pictured) threw down a dunk with 3 minutes remaining in regulation to bring the Baker faithful to their feet.
Four players scored in double digits: Malcolm Greer, 18, Austin Bond, 11, Ryan Douvier, 10, and Ryckey Harper, 10. The Wildcats shot 37 percent and forced 26 turnovers.

Men's basketball back in action tonight
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Baker men's basketball will be back in action tonight when they play host to Bethany College at the Collins Center. Tip-off will be at 7:30 p.m.
The Wildcats (1-2) are coming off a loss to Friends University. Andre Strozier leads the ’Cats with 14.3 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game. Strozier has recorded a double-double in two of three contests this season.

Friends spoils Baker’s home opener
Baldwin City, Kan. — Friends University pulled away in the second half for a 73-60 men’s basketball victory over Baker University, spoiling the Wildcats’ home opener on Tuesday night.
Ahead 32-30 at halftime, Friends outscored the Wildcats 41-30 in the second half.
Senior Malcolm Greer scored a team-high 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field to pace the Wildcats (1-2).
Wildcat junior Andre Strozier (pictured) recorded his second double-double of the season, scoring 12 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Junior Austin Bond also scored 12 points for Baker.
Baker will host Bethel at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Collins Center.
