Grego Named HAAC Golfer of the Week

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker University freshman men’s golfer Grant Grego became the second Wildcat to earn the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week award on Monday after his second-place finish at the Park University Fall Invite last week.

Grego helped lead Baker to a team championship at Park’s tournament held at Paradise Pointe-Posse in Smithville, Mo.

A freshman from Lee’s Summit, Mo., he fired an opening-round 72, the low score of the round, and finished second overall just one shot off the lead with a 36-hole total of 153.

Junior golfer Alex Zuzelski won the first HAAC men's golfer of the week award in 2012 for Bakler back on Oct. 1.

Baker finishes up the Fall season this week at the Winfield Country Club in Winfield, Kan., hosted by Southwestern College.
