No. 8 Baker takes down No. 23 Vanguard UniversityBaker vs Vanguard

Vanguard opened up the scoring late in the 1st half when they were awarded a penalty kick, on what seemed to be a questionable call. Baker quickly responded less than two minutes later when Matt Germain scored on header from Kome Okiomah. Just before going into half Baker stuck again on a deflected ball that ended up in front of Clay Stanger giving Baker the 2-1 lead. From that point on, Baker didn't look back. Goalkeeper Alex Burton made 6 saves and remains undefeated on the season. "Today was a good day all around for Baker, I am hoping when we get back to Liston Stadium next week we will get some more fan support," stated Coach Houser. Baker will be back in action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Olathe, KS to face Southern Nazarene University. View game photos here
