Baldwin City, Kan. — The No. 17 Baker men's soccer team will begin their quest for back-to-back HAAC Championships tonight when they take on Lindenwood University (7-9-2, 5-3-1) at 7 p.m. at Liston Stadium.

The Wildcats hold an 11-2-5 overall record and 4-1-4 mark in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

First-team All-HAAC performer Luke Haidarovic continues to lead the Baker offense. Haidarovic netted nine goals in the regular season, ranking him fifth in the HAAC.

Alex Burton will look to continue his stellar play in goal. Burton has recorded seven shutouts on the season with a .96 goals against average.

Baker defeated Lindenwood less than three weeks ago in St. Charles, Mo. Luke Haidarovic scored the game-winning goal late in the game, giving Baker the 1-0 victory.

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its 2009 All-Conference selections on Wednesday evening. Baker didn't disappoint. Matt Germain, Luke Haidarovic and Matt Griffin were named to the first team.

Kome Okiomah was named to the All-HAAC second team, while goalkeeper Alex Burton and Laethe Hamil were named to the third team.

Matt Griffin was named HAAC Defensive Player of the Year. "He is the best center back in the league. He wins everything in the air. We look forward to having the best fans in the HAAC at our game tomorrow night." said head coach Nate Houser.
