Stewart lifts Baker past No. 20 Lindenwood
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – In a game that saw seven goals scored, Steven Stewart scored the one that mattered most on Saturday evening at Liston Stadium.
Stewart’s goal in the 67th minute sealed a much-needed victory for the Wildcats over No. 20 Lindenwood University.
Leath Hamil got the scoring started in the 8th minute after receiving a ball from Odaine Sinclair. Lindenwood recorded back-to-back strikes following Hamil’s goal in the 23rd and 49th minute, but the Wildcats countered those goals in the 58th and 64th minute when Odaine Sinclair and Matt Griffin added strikes.
Baker (8-5-2, 4-2-1 HAAC) will return to action on Oct. 30th when they travel to Culver-Stockton College.
