BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University men’s soccer team will look to end its tough start to the 2012 season with a match against NCAA Division I UMKC this Thursday, Sept. 6 at Durwood Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., at 7 p.m.

Both squads are in search of its first win of the season, as Baker enters the match 0-2-1, while the Roos’ are 0-3.

UMKC and Baker have met on the pitch five times in its history, with UMKC winning all five of those matches. The last meeting was October 27, 2009, with UMKC winning 3-0.

The Wildcats leading goal scorer in 2012 is Donny George with his one goal and Ethan Bauer earned the assist on that goal, Cameron Zimmerman leads the team in shots taken with seven.

Both Matt Bickley and Brendan Allen have shared time at goalkeeper so far in 2012. Allen earned the 0-0 tie and the shutout against Oklahoma City.

UMKC’s three losses have come to Tulsa, 4-0, Missouri State, 3-0 and St. Louis University, 3-1.
