Baker took the lead in the 43rd minute with a goal from freshman Austin Shiney right before halftime. Fellow freshman Andrew Miller picked up the assist on the shot.
After the break, UMKC scored in the 51st minute with a goal from Broc Cramer, with the assist coming from Jordan Rideout.
14 minutes later the Roos’ put the game away with a goal from Tom Gaus for the game- winning goal and assist was registered by Mo Ramahi.
The Wildcats had as many shots on goal as UMKC with five and took 8 total shots, compared to 11 by its opponent.
Matt Bickley got the start in goal for Baker and had three saves. Ethan Bauer and Cameron Zimmerman led the team in shots taken with two.
