The women’s team hasn’t competed since Sept. 2, when they defeated No. 21 ranked UT-Brownsville, 5-1, at North Park. Baker is 2-1-1 on the year, while Park comes in 1-2.
The men are in search of its first win of this young 2012 season and last time out took on NCAA Division I UMKC on the road, losing to the Roos’, 2-1.
Baker is 0-3-1 on the year, while the Pirate men enter the match 1-2. The Pirates have had an up and down beginning to its season, with a season opening loss to MidAmerica Nazarene at home, 1-3.
They followed that up with a 5-2 home win over University of St. Mary, 5-2, then was shutout by Friends, 2-0.
Carlos Trombini and Anass Moudfir lead the team in scoring with two goals apiece. Dawit Gebremariam has four assists leading the squad.
The Wildcats two goals scored this season have come from defender Donny George and freshman Andrew Miller. Miller also has one assist on the year and Ethan Bauer collected the other.
Baker defeated Park last season, 1-0, in Parkville, Mo., off of a goal from Odaine Sinclair. The game was about as evenly matched as it could have been, as each team took 11 shots, Baker had six shots on goal and Park had five.
