The Wildcats improve to 4-4-3 on the year and 1-1 in the HAAC, while Avila falls to 5-8 and 0-2 in the conference.
The game was scoreless all the way up until the 40th minute when senior defender Donny George knocked in a goal past Jesus Revilla to give Baker the 1-0 lead. Cameron Zimmerman picked up the assist on the goal.
Rich Klein put Baker up 2-0 in the second half with his first of two goals with 11:18 to go in the second half.
Just 2:18 later Klein knocked in another goal to put Baker up 3-0 for his fifth goal of the season.
The Wildcats out shot the Eagles from start-to-finish with 26 shots taken and 14 on goal and gave up just five shots in 90 minutes with three on goal.
Klein took a team high six shots and teammates Amer Didic and Nick Aguilar were second on the team with three shots apiece.
Baker will return home on Tuesday, Oct. 9 to take on rival MidAmerica Nazarene at 7:30 p.m.
