Baker Picks up Road Win at Graceland

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University men’s soccer team picked up a big Heart of America Athletic Conference win on Sunday evening with a 3-1 win at Graceland University to improve to 6-4-3 and 3-1 in the HAAC.

Baker received goals from three different Wildcats including Ethan Bauer in the third minute, Nick Aguilar in the 22nd minute and Ben Coyle put the game away for good with a score of his own in the 80th minute.

Graceland made things interested in the 77th minute, as Yacine Hamchaoui scored to bring the Baker lead to just one goal, 2-1.

The Wildcats took 25 shots on the night with six coming from Ben Coyle and five from midfielder Andy Griffin. Baker had 14 shots on goal and Christian Quintanilla collected all 11 saves for the Yellowjackets.

Baker will have another tough road HAAC match this coming week as they on Benedictine College on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.
