George Named HAAC Defensive POW

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker University senior defender Donny George earned this week’s Heart of America Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week award after helping the Wildcats earn their third straight conference win on Sunday over Graceland, 3-1 and a home win over No. 9 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene on Oct. 9, 1-0.

George was a key figure in the Baker defensive line last week as the Wildcats look to mount another charge toward a conference title.

A senior from London, England, he led Baker to a pair of wins with a combined total of just one goal allowed as the Wildcats improved to 3-1-0 in conference play. Baker is now 6-4-3 overall on the season.

The NAIA Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards will be handed out each week with the winner of each award representing the conference for their respective honors through the rest of the regular season.
