BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker University's Ethan Bauer and Ben Coyle swept this week's Heart of America Athletic Conference weekly awards, as Bauer earned the Offensive Player of the Week award and Coyle was named the Defensive POW.

Bauer scored one of the most dramatic goals of the season, finding the back of the net less than a minute into overtime of a 2-1 win on Tuesday evening to give the Wildcats the #2 seed in the HAAC Tournament.

A senior midfielder from Olathe, Kan., he also assisted on the first Baker goal, setting up Nate Byarlay for the opening goal of the match.

The defensive award went to a third member of the Baker backline this season as Coyle was singled out for his efforts in the win over Missouri Valley.

A junior defender from Olathe, Kan., he helped limit the Vikings to just five shots in the game as the Wildcats allowed one goal or less for the seventh time in the last nine games.

The NAIA Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards will represent the conference for their respective honors for the final time this week with the NAIA Player of the Week awards being announced on Tuesday evening.

Baker will next take on No. 3 seeded Missouri Valley this Wednesday, Nov. 7 in the semifinals of the HAAC Playoffs at 7 p.m. at Liston Stadium.
