Sheridan's future team has been rising up the ranks recently. At the end of the 2011-12 season the club managed to finish in the top nine of the Bayernliga and thereby directly qualified for the new tier four Regionalliga Bayern. He will play for Manager, Karsten Wettberg.
"We're very excited for Michael," said Baker head soccer coach Nate Houser. "From the first day he set foot on campus he has been the ultimate example of hard work, focus and perseverance. But even more importantly he has always been a great friend and mentor to his teammates.
"I hope his brave steps to follow his dream will be an example to all of the players here at Baker. What he has done, travel across the world, learn a new language, and fight injury is truly inspiring! We wish Michael the best as he fights his way into the team and begins his professional career."
The 2011 Baker graduate, appeared in eight matches in 2010 with five starts. He finished the year second on the team in saves with 29 and posted a 3-2 record.
He was also part of the record setting 2011 team that went 20-2-1 and advanced to the NAIA National Championship Tournament national semifinals.
Sheridan had one start in 2011 and appeared in two games. He had three saves on the year and went 1-0 in that start.
