The Pirates fell to 1-1 on the year in front of a large home crowd at Julian Field. Baker took 15 shots and allowed just six by Park and Cameron Zimmerman took a team high three.
Park scored first in the 8th minute off of a penalty kick by senior midfielder Carlos Trombini Filho. But Baker answered in the 26th minute with a penalty kick of its own from senior defender Andy Griffin also on a PK.
Then Baker put things away on a header goal by freshman Jordan Thacker in the 59th minute for his first career goal in a Baker uniform. Senior Richard Klein sent the ball to the freshman and earned the assist.
Matt Bickley earned the win for Baker and collected four saves, while Ryan Miller had four saves for the Pirates.
The Wildcats will next take on McPherson College on the road next Wednesday, Sept. 18 and then returns home to take on Kansas Wesleyan on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m.
