HASTINGS, Neb. – Two Top 15 NAIA men's soccer teams battled on Wednesday evening, but the host No. 10 Hastings College shut out No. 14 Baker, 1-0, to improve to 11-2 on the year.

With the loss Baker falls to 8-5-2 and suffered its third shutout loss of the season. The Wildcats will next take on Avila University this Saturday, Oct. 19 at 8:30 p.m. at Liston Stadium on Senior Night.

Hastings took 19 shots on the night, while the Wildcats attempted 16. Matt Bickley posted seven saves and Richard Klein led the team with five shots. Andy Griffin was the only other Wildcat to attempt more than one shot with four.

The matches only score of the night came in the 74th minute when Leon Brudy scored a goal past Bickley and Dru Kobs picked up the assist.

Baker was whistled for 16 fouls, while the Broncos were called for nine.
