BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The 2013 Men's soccer Heart of America Athletic Conference teams were announced Monday evening and eight players from the Baker men's soccer team earned conference honors, including three being named to the first team.

Amer Didic, Andy Griffin, and Ben Coyle were all named to the All-HAAC First Team. Didic appeared in 18 games and recorded three goals on 11 shots on goal, and two assists.

The Wildcats finished the HAAC regular season with a record of 5-1-1 and tied for the regular season championship with MNU and Benedictine. For the stellar season, Baker head coach Nate Houser was named the HAAC Co-Coach of the Year.

Griffin and Coyle tied for the team lead with five goals scored. Griffin appeared in 17 games, while recording 13 shots on goal and one assist and Coyle appeared in 14 games and recorded seven shots on goal and two assists.

Matt Bickley, Robert Hoeven, and Richard Klein earned Second Team honors. Bickley appeared in 18 games posting a 9-5-2 record, while ranking 50th in Division I with 69 saves for an 80.2 percentage. He also had four shutouts.

Hoeven appeared in 18 games and recorded three goals on nine shots on goal and two assists. Klein appeared in 18 games and recorded four goals on eight shots on goal with one assist. He also ranked 43rd in Division I with three game winning goals.

Preston Phillips and Cameron Zimmerman rounded out the squad earning Third Team honors. Phillips appeared in 16 games, while recording one goal on nine shots on goal and one assist. Zimmerman appeared in 18 games and recorded one shot on goal out of 17 shots.

Baker will enter the HAAC Conference tournament, as the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 Avila next Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. inside Liston Stadium.
