The Heart of America Athletic Conference also placed four teams among the Top 25: No. 9 Baker, No. 12 MidAmerica Nazarene, No. 14 Benedictine (Kan.) and No. 16 Missouri Valley.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, independents and unaffiliated groups.
