Rydberg’s late goal lifts No. 5 Baker past MidAmerica Nazarene
OLATHE, Kan. – The game itself wasn’t always pretty at times, but the fifth-ranked Baker men’s soccer team managed to come through big, improving to 12-0 on the year with a 1-0 victory over MidAmerica Nazarene Tuesday evening.
First half action saw the Wildcats take seven shots on goal before play was halted eight minutes before the half due to lightning. Both teams remained scoreless heading into the break.

Tom Lowndes named HAAC Offensive Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Senior Tom Lowndes (Cardiff, Wales) was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday evening.
Lowndes was the catalyst for the sixth-ranked Baker offense, as the Wildcats claimed a 4-0 victory over No. 20 Graceland on Saturday evening. Lowndes scored two penalty kick goals and assisted on another goal to help the Wildcats improve to 11-0 on the year.
“Tom has worked very hard on providing good service and leads the conference in assists with 10,” said head coach Nate Houser. “We have a good test tomorrow on the road against MidAmerica Nazarene.”

No. 6 Baker cruises past Graceland 4-0; improve to 11-0
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University men’s soccer team improved to 11-0 on the year with a commanding 4-0 victory over Graceland University Saturday evening.
After a scoreless first half, Tom Lowndes put the Wildcats on the scoreboard first with back-to-back penalty kick goals.
Nick Ebmeyer added to the total in the 74th minute on a ball in the box from Odaine Sinclair. Richard Klein closed the game out in the 85th minute after receiving a ball from Tom Lowndes to give BU a 4-0 advantage.

Men’s soccer team jumps four spots in latest Top 25 poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After winning its HAAC opener on Sunday evening, the Baker men’s soccer team (10-0, 1-0 HAAC) jumped to sixth nationally in the latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll.
Other HAAC schools in the Oct. 4 poll include Missouri Valley College (8-1-0), Benedictine College (10-0-0) and Graceland University (7-1-1).
“It’s fantastic that the hardwork of the team is being recognized nationally,” said head coach Nate Houser. “I think it’s great for the conference, but we’re really just more interested in where we end up at the end of the season.”

No. 10 Baker men improve to 9-0 on the season
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University men’s soccer team remains undefeated as they defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan University 4-2 on Tuesday evening.
Ethan Bauer put Baker on the scoreboard early with a quick turnaround blast from 30-yards out in the 13th minute.
Andy Griffin added to the tally in the 29th minute when he put a header in off a corner kick from Tom Lowndes and Cameron Zimmerman would add to that tally in the 35th minute to give BU a 3-0 lead at the break.

Donny George named HAAC Defensive Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Baker junior Donny George (London, England) has been chosen as the Heart of America Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
George proved to be a threat on both ends of the field last week as he scored goals against 16th ranked Oklahoma Baptist University in a 5-0 rout and Midland Lutheran (Neb.) in a 4-2 victory. The Baker men are currently ranked 13th nationally with an undefeated 8-0 record.

No. 13 Baker improves to 8-0 on the season
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – It was Family Weekend in Baldwin City and the Baker men’s soccer team proved why its 8-0 undefeated start is no joke. The Wildcats defeated Midland Luthern (Neb.) 4-2 on Saturday afternoon.
Josh Rydberg put the Wildcats on the board first with a goal off a corner kick from Tom Lowndes just 1:48 into the game. Ben Coyle would score another Baker goal in the 54th minute, but Midland Lutheran quickly answered in the 56th minute on a goal from Rob Capewell.

No. 13 Baker crushes No. 16 Oklahoma Baptist 5-0
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The game itself was never in question past the 20th minute of play on Friday evening, as the 13th ranked BU men’s soccer team crushed No. 16 Oklahoma Baptist University 5-0.
Donny George got the scoring started in the 18th minute on a cross from Tom Lowndes and Nate Bylarly added another goal just four minutes later to give Baker a quick 2-0 advantage.
Rich Klein continued the onslaught in the 43rd minute on a screaming cross from Sean McAlister to give Baker a 3-0 lead heading into the break.
