Matt Bickley named HAAC Defensive Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Baker University sophomore goalkeeper Matt Bickley (Overland Park, Kan.) has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Bickley tallied a total of seven saves to help Baker post a pair of 1-0 shutout victories over Park University (Mo.) and Columbia College (Mo.). Bickley has recorded three shutouts in three starts on the season with an average of 3.67 saves per contest.

Men’s soccer improves to 4-0 with victory over Columbia College
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker men continue to ride a wave of 1-0 shutout victories. Saturday afternoon the Wildcats defeated Columbia College 1-0 for their fourth victory of the season.
Steven Stewart scored the game winning goal in the 41st minute when he beat Columbia goalkeeper Matt McKenna on a blast towards the right post.
“That goal really settled us heading into the half,” said head coach Nate Houser. “Our defense did a great job in the second half settling in and dealing with their pressure.”

Sinclair scores lone goal as Baker rolls past Park
PARKVILLE, Mo. – The Baker University men’s soccer team knocked off local rival Park University 1-0 on Friday evening.
Junior Odaine Sinclair scored what would end up being the game-winning goal in the 14th minute on a 25-yard blast past the goalkeeper.
Defender Alain Matigou led the Pirates with two shots on goal in the contest. Goalkeeper Matt Bickley made five saves in the contest to record his second shutout of the season.

Sinclair lifts Baker past Westminster in season opener
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Odaine Sinclair put the Wildcats on the scoreboard early on a cross from Andy Griffin and that was all the Wildcats needed to get past Westminster 1-0 on Friday evening.
Sophomore Matt Bickley made four saves in the contest to record his first career shutout. Baker outshot the Griffins 9-4 on goal.

BU men's soccer team knows there will be no excuses in 2011
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Coming off a heartbreaking loss in the 2010 Heart of America Athletic Conference playoffs, the Baker University men’s soccer team has all the pieces in place for a special season.
With nine returning starters, including eight juniors, the Wildcats know it’s a season of no excuses.
