No. 16 Baker men shut out Lindenwood 1-0Luke Haidarovic

The Baker men's soccer team shut out the Lindenwood Lions Saturday evening in St. Chalres, Mo. Alex Burton made four saves in the contest to record his sixth shutout of the season.

Luke Haidarovic (pictured) scored the game-winning goal in the 70th minute when he snuck one past the Lions goalkeeper to help Baker improve to 10-1-4 on the season and 3-1-3 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

Baker will be back in action when they travel to UMKC on Tuesday for a nonconference showdown that will be featured on Kansas City Metro Sports television at 7 p.m.

No. 16 Baker travels to Lindenwood on SaturdayMen's Soccer

Baker knows anytime they play on the road things aren't going to come easy. Last time out Baker played to a 1-1 tie with Missouri Valley College on Oct. 17 giving Baker their fourth tie of the 2009 campaign.

This Saturday won't be any different when they take on conference rival Lindenwood (5-7-2, 3-1-1). Baker will come into play holding a  9-1-4 overall record and 2-1-3 record in the HAAC.

Baker ties Missouri Valley 1-1Matt Germain

Matt Germain (pictured) led the way Saturday afternoon scoring his team-leading sixth goal of the season giving Baker the early 1-0 lead.

Fourteen minutes into the second half, Liam McInally tied the score at 1-1 on an assist from Lewis Walker, a deadlock that wouldn’t be broken.

Baker men's soccer wins a wild one in double overtimeSoccer Rolls

With 8 seconds remaining in the second overtime, Richard Klein punched in the game winning goal to put No. 14 Baker past Park University Tuesday evening.

Baker improved to 9-1-3 on the season. Park dropped to 5-4 while falling out of the Top 25 rankings.

No. 20 Benedictine stuns No. 9 Baker

The Baker men were unable to get the momentum going their way Saturday evening at Liston Stadium.

Benedictine got on the scoreboard first when Baker shot the ball into their own goal on a clearing attempt midway through the first half. Benedictine added to that total in the second half when Brendan Copeland squeezed a shot past goalkeeper Alex Burton. With one minute remaining in regulation, Baker got on the scoreboard on a header from Luke Haidarovic that was set up by Kome Okiomah and Jacob Chiarelli.
