No. 3 Baker advances to first-ever NAIA Final Four with 3-1 victory over Grand View
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – The Baker men’s soccer team is headed to its first-ever NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship Semifinal game after defeating Grand View (Iowa), 3-1 on Wednesday evening.
Nick Aguilar put the Wildcats on the scoreboard first just 13 minutes into the contest after receiving a ball from Andy Griffin. Grand View answered late in the first half after Lucas Heitor-Piffer evened the score at 1-1 on a penalty kick.

Baker knocks off Hutson-Tillotson (Texas) in overtime, 1-0
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – The Baker men’s soccer team is headed to the final round of eight teams for the first time in school history after knocking off Hutson-Tillotson 1-0 on Monday afternoon.
After playing scoreless in regulation, junior Nate Byarly received a ball off a set piece header from Donny George to lift Baker to its first-ever NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship round of eight game.

Baker men face Hutson-Tillotson (Texas) in first final site game since 2008
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – The Baker University men’s soccer team returns to the final round site of 16 teams for the first time since 2008. Third-ranked Baker (18-1-1) will square off with unseeded Hutson-Tillotson (Texas) at 5 p.m., CST Nov. 28 from the Orange Beach Sportsplex.
“We’ve got a chance to showcase what we’re all about now on the national stage,” said head coach Nate Houser. “This is something the guys have been striving to get back to since our last appearance in 2008.”

Baker advances to round of 16 with 2-0 victory over Oklahoma Wesleyan
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker men’s soccer team is headed back to the NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championships final round of 16 after knocking off Oklahoma Wesleyan 2-0 Saturday evening.
Donny George put the Wildcats on the scoreboard first with a goal in the 20th minute off a corner kick from Tom Lowndes to give the Wildcats and early edge.
“Getting that first goal for us was huge,” said head coach Nate Houser. “We hadn’t had a lead early like that in a few games and I think we got back to who we are and what we’re about.”

No. 3 Baker men set to host Oklahoma Wesleyan in NAIA National Championship Opening Round
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University men’s soccer team will host Oklahoma Wesleyan University in the 2011 NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship Opening Round on Nov. 19.
Baker (17-1-1) and the No. 3 overall seed in the tournament was the first at-large selection in the field of 31. Oklahoma Wesleyan (14-4-2), qualified with an automatic berth after winning the 2011 Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference postseason tournament.

Men’s soccer falls to MNU in HAAC title game
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – MidAmerica Nazarene jumped out to a two-goal lead and never looked back Friday night, handing Baker its first loss of the 2011 season.
Trent Remmich put the Pioneers on the board in the 11th minute after he was rewarded a penalty kick on a foul committed by Tom Lowndes inside the Baker box.

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Whenever Baker and Benedictine get together, it always seems to make for a special game.
Wednesday evening in Baldwin City wasn’t any different, as the Baker men’s soccer team remained unblemished, defeating the Ravens 3-2 to advance to the championship game of the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Both teams knows there is no love lost when it comes to Baker vs Benedictine – especially in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Playoffs.
Baker (16-0-1) will look for a chance to play its way into the HAAC Championship game with a victory over the Ravens. The Wildcats are currently ranked second in the NAIA with 566 total points and one first place vote.
