LAWRENCE, Kan. – Senior Aaron Caldwell broke the Baker University men’s cross country 8K school record on Saturday afternoon in a time of 25:34 at the University of Kansas’ Rim Rock Farm Classic.

Caldwell broke Arnold Sirorei’s 2008 record time of 25:44. Freshman Jeremy Bryan also broke Sirorei’s school record with his time of 25:38 just four seconds behind Caldwell. 

The Wildcats finished 10th out of 14 teams in a field full of NCAA Division I schools. The University of Kansas won the meet that featured 159 runners.

Eric Larson took home 80th-place on the night in a time of 26:04 and Taylor Nall finished in the Top 100 with his 93rd-place finish in a time of 26:22.

Baker’s team average time of 26:13.02 is the fastest team time of any men’s cross country team in the head coach Zach Kindler six year era for the Wildcats.

Taking home 117th-place was Vincent Tadokoro with his time of 27:25. Bunched up near the end of the race was Tosh Mihesuah in 136th place, then finishing in 141st was Baker’s Cooper Clark.

Rounding out the final three spots for Baker was Garret McPherson in 145th and Dallas Kaiser took 146th and Ulrich Johanning placed 157th.

Baker will next compete in the Haskell Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 6 in Lawrence, Kan.
