Aaron Caldwell broke Baker's four year old school record on Saturday
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker University senior men’s cross country runner Aaron Caldwell won his second straight Heart of America Athletic Conference Runner of the Week award on Monday after breaking the 8K-school record at Saturday’s University of Kansas Rim Rock Farm Classic.
A senior from Overland Park, Kan., Caldwell bested the 8K school record by 10 seconds and finished 67th out of 158 runners in an event with primarily NCAA Division I competitors. His score also helped the Wildcats to a 10th place finish.
The weekly award winner will represent the HAAC in consideration for the NAIA Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week award, which will be announced on Tuesday afternoons.
