BU Takes Fourth at HAAC Championship

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University men's cross country team took fourth place on Saturday out of eight teams in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship meet in Marshall, Mo., hosted by Missouri Valley College.

The Wildcats had two runners earn HAAC All-Conference honors with their performances, as Corey Matteson finished in 13th place in a time of 28:44 and Vinny Tadokoro took home 15th-place in a time of 28:59.

Rounding out the Top 35 spots for Baker were Jamie Sturery who took home 23rd place and Andrew Dare finished in 27th place. Also placing in the Top 35 was Carter Breithaupt with his 32nd-place finish.

The Wildcats have finished up the 2013 season and will say goodbye to seniors Cooper Clark and Garrett McPherson.
