Baker women take fourth at OSU Jamboree, men take eighth

STILLWATER, Okla. – The Baker University cross country program turned in another successful weekend at the OSU Jamboree this past weekend. The Baker women took fourth-place out of 30 teams, the men took eighth-place out of 23 teams.

JOPLIN, Mo. – The Wildcats traveled to Joplin, Mo., this past weekend where they participated in the Southern Stampede at Missouri Southern University.

Baker men and women take third-place at Maple Leaf Invitational
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University women’s cross country team took third-place Saturday afternoon at the Maple Leaf Invitational. Freshman Lauren Jaqua led the Baker women with a time of 15:35.80, good for seventh-place overall in the women’s 4k run.

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - With some of the top teams in the area traveling to Baker University this upcoming weekend, head coach Zach Kindler feels as if the Baker cross country teams will have an opporitunity to measure themselves early.
On the women’s side, No. 14 Kansas Wesleyan will enter the invitational as the favorite. The Baker women enter as defending champions.
“I’m pretty excited about this meet,” said head coach Zach Kindler. “I think we’ve got the talent and potential, we’re just taking things one day at a time.”

Kindler and company will look to make a splash in the HAAC
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Baker University cross country coach Zach Kindler is thrilled the 2010 roster resembles the 2009 list of Wildcat runners.
The Wildcats return their top five runners from the men's and women's squad. Kindler, entering his fourth season at Baker, hopes the experience of placing fourth in the women's Heart of America Athletic Conference meet and fifth in the men's HAAC meet carries over this fall.

Baker men take fifth at HAAC Championships
LIBERTY, Mo. - Freshman Corey Clark (pictured) led the way for the Baker men on Saturday afternoon taking 11th place at the HAAC Championship with a time of 29:11.55 in the men's 8k race.
Following closely behind were Freshman Taylor Nall (30:26.04) and Parker Bryant (30:37.38).
"The men performed well. I think this was a solid way to close out the season heading into next year with such a young group," said coach Kindler.

Baker men take 8th at Ollie Isom Invitational
Taylor Nall led the way for the Baker men this weekend, finishing 31st out of 96 runners in the 5K with a time of 16:25.55.
Following closely behind was Aaron Caldwell, finishing with a time of 16:44.28 and placing 42nd.

Baker men take 2nd place, two runners place in top 10
Aaron Caldwell led the way for the Baker men on Saturday placing fifth overall with a time of 28:58.76. Following closely behind was last week's nominee for HAAC Runner of the Week Corey Clark with a time of 29:37.74 placing him 10th overall. Taylor Nall, Eric Larson, Parker Bryant, Ryan Meyer and Keith Demint rounded out a total team score of 2:29:39.64 in the men's 8k run.
