“Erin is quite possibly one of the most feared pitchers in the state of Kansas,” said coach Windle. “We are very fortunate to add her to our pitching staff. Erin’s decision to attend Baker makes us a conference contender.”
Williams, a shortstop from Pinetop, Ariz., helped lead her team to its first-ever state title in 2009 and will look to repeat in her senior campaign.
“Cami is an outstanding athlete who competes in both softball and volleyball,” said coach Windle. “Her long frame and quickness close off any holes in the middle infield and her arm is extremely strong. She is not afraid to get dirty and put in the work needed to be successful on the field and the classroom. At Baker, we expect Cami to come in and immediately compete for a starting spot.”
Chumley (pictured) comes to Baker with experience as a catcher, outfielder and middle infielder. The Basehor-Linwood High School senior caught all 23 innings against Lansing last season, which set the record for single-game innings in a high school contest.
“Tara is an athlete,” said coach Windle. “She has a tremendous arm and can play a multitude of positions. Her work ethic and attitude make her a steal for us, and we will expect Tara to come in and make an immediate impact.“
