"I think our victory in game one carried over into game two," said head coach Matt Windle. "Defensively, we played really well. We have some good momentum riding into the thick of conference play." Windle said.
Game two was all Baker. The Wildcats scored three runs in the second inning, and added four in the fifth. Senior Kelsey Epperson went 2-for-3 with one RBI while Katie Worley went 1-for-2 with a solo inside-the-park homerun. Freshman Brittany Vollenweider gave up three hits in the 8-0 shutout victory.
Baker will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo.
