Wildcats split with Graceland University


LAMONI, Iowa – Maggie Holmberg pitched shutout ball into the seventh inning of game one, but Graceland University managed to mount a two-run rally to tie the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh.

The Yellow jackets (9-25, 3-11 HAAC) stunned Baker (25-15, 12-4 HAAC) in the bottom of the 10th with a walk-off 3-2 victory.

Brooke Allen led the Wildcats offense going 3-for-4 at the plate with one RBI. Erin Greenwood also recorded an RBI going 1-for-5.

Baker bounced back in game two thanks to a stellar pitching performance from Erin Greenwood as she pitched a complete game shutout, giving up just seven hits in the 3-0 victory.

Erin Greenwood led the way at the plate going 3-for-4 with one RBI. Katie Worley added an RBI while going 1-for-3.

The Wildcats return to action on Saturday afternoon for Senior Day against Evangel University (22-10, 7-5 HAAC) at 2:00 p.m. Seniors Katie Worley, Erin Ford, Kim Gilges and Annie Hannon will be honored prior to the first pitch.
