BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker University softball coach Matt Windle announced on Wednesday that the team has signed Alyse Menghini, a standout infielder from Lincoln East High School in Lincoln, Nebraska.
“Alyse came on a visit and impressed me right away,” Windle said. “She is a very bright student and is an extremely strong athlete. I would anticipate that she’ll be able to come in and give us some pop in the line-up right away. The bottom line is she’s an intense competitor and a winner. We’re fortunate to have her.”
During her senior year at Lincoln East, Menghini was named to the Omaha World Herald and Lincoln Journal Star All-State Team. She also was a first team all-conference selection and first team academic all-state award winner. As a four-year varsity letter winner, she accumulated over 20 special recognitions for her accomplishments on and off the field.
