BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Head Baker University softball coach Matt Windle announced the signing of Mallorie Nelson on Monday afternoon.
Nelson, a senior out of Paola High School in Paola, Kan., was named to the Class 4A All-State team in 2011 as a utility player, but looks to turn her focus to pitching with the Wildcats.
“We are excited to have Mallorie here,” said head coach Matt Windle. “We are losing two very good pitchers after this season and we like what Mallorie brings to the table. She may not overpower you, but she has good control and command of her pitch selections. We look to get her into the rotation as soon as she steps on campus.”
