BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Reigning NAIA National Pitcher of the Week, Erin Greenwood threw her second no-hitter in a week and just missed out on a perfect game with a sixth inning walk.

Greenwood was nearly perfect, striking out nine batters and went 1-for-4 from the plate. Offensively, Baker had 14 hits and Summer Kelley, Alyse Menghini and Mallorie Nelson all had extra base hits.

Tara Chumley and Menghini each had two RBI's and Nelson led the team with three hits.

Baker went scoreless in the first three innings and then lit up the scoreboard in the fourth on a slew of errors by Culver-Stockton, scoring two runs.

In the fifth inning, Menghini led off with a double, then Kelley double to right-center field that scored Menghini.

In the sixth, Menghini knocked in Ilona Miller and Greenwood to go up 6-0. Baker then tacked on a run in the seventh.

In game two, Nelson started in the circle for head coach Matt Windle and threw four innings, but Greenwood came in relief in the fifth inning.

Nelson allowed both of her runs in the fourth inning. Baker's only run came in the top of the sixth on a RBI single by Greenwood that scored Miller.

The Wildcats managed just four hits in game two off of pitcher Lauren Johnson. Baker will return home next Wednesday, Apr. 10 when they take on rival MidAmerica Nazarene at Cavaness Field at 3 and 5 p.m.
