The event will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with campers performing offensive and defensive skill work and drills at varied positions. Then after a one-hour break in which campers will break for lunch on their own, the camp will resume from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with live game situations to further exhibit their skills and abilities.
"In partnership with the Baldwin City Recreation Commission, Baker softball is excited to announce its Premier Invite camp, open to high school athletes interested in enhancing their skills and gaining exposure to a premier NAIA program," said Stanclift.
Campers are asked to arrive 20 minutes early to ensure all registration and insurance information is complete and to please bring all necessary equipment such as cleats, glove, bat and shoes.
Each camper will receive one-on-one instruction from former Division I players and coaches as well as past and present Wildcat softball players and a question and answer session with camp staff.
Also campers will obtain a formal evaluation form from the camp coaching staff, sent via email following camp to further aid in development.
