Softball Participates in Community Event

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Baker University softball team participated in its annual community outreach event on Dec. 2 at the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Adult Special Populations' Christmas Party.

The team helped decorate and setup for the party and served and ate dinner with the participants. They also played bingo, danced to holiday tunes and took pictures with Santa and the group.

"I am so grateful to have had the privilege to spend my evening with the special populations group," Baker freshman outfielder Sloane Brady said. "They brought me so much joy and are all truly beautiful people on the inside and out."

The Special Populations group is for adults with developmental and physical disabilities and gives them the opportunity to socialize and interact with the community.
