Tuesday afternoon featured the home opener for the Wildcats and with the split Baker is now 8-6 on the year and it featured the first doubleheader of the season for the 'Cats.
Baker was held scoreless by WWU's MacKenzie Bowden who allowed only three hits and struck out 15 batters.
Two of those hits came from lead off hitter Renata Dill, while the other came from Alyse Menghini.
Woods scored three of its runs in the top of the third and then added one in the seventh. Katt Cooper received the loss for the 'Cats and threw six innings, Brooke Plummer finished off the final inning.
In game two, Mallorie Nelson was nearly unhittable for BU, as she went all seven innings and allowed only one hit. She also struck out seven Owls.
Offensively, Menghini had the big hit of the day a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to put Baker up 3-0 for good. Sammie Schroeder also had a hit, as did Cami Williams.
Baker will next take on Ottawa University on St. Patrick's Day, Monday, Mar. 17 at the road at 1 and 3 p.m.
