BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker University head softball coach Matt Windle announced Monday that the home doubleheader scheduled for this Thursday, Feb. 21 against Bethany College has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Mar 5 at 2 and 4 p.m., due to the possibility of a winter storm in the Baldwin City area.

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker University head softball coach Matt Windle and graduate assistant coach Jamie Stanclift will host a winter skills camp for grades 7-12 that will feature a hitting skills camp on Dec. 30, 2012 and a defensive skills camp on Jan. 6, 2013.

Softball Two Wildcats selected to All-Region Team Two Baker University softball players — senior Brooke Allen and sophomore Maggie Holmberg — have been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association NAIA All-Midwest Region Team. Allen, a second baseman from Topeka, Kan., batted .380 her senior season and was selected to the all-Midwest first team. Holmberg, a pitcher from Topeka, Kan., compiled an 11-9 record and 1.87 ERA and was a second-team all-region selection.

BU softball has four named to first team all-HAAC squad

All-HAAC Squad

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Baker University softball team had four players named to the first team all-HAAC squad the league office announced on Friday afternoon.

Pitchers Erin Greenwood (Topeka, Kan.) and Maggie Holmberg (Topeka, Kan.) highlighted the Wildcat defense.

First baseman Summer Kelley (Shawnee, Kan.) and second baseman Brooke Allen (Topeka, Kan.) rounded out the BU squad. Allen was also awarded the Gold Glove for her stellar play at second base. Alexis Cox was awarded the Gold Glove for her play in the outfield.
