DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Baker University small dance team claimed its second consecutive NAIA/NDA Small Dance National Championship this past weekend in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Baker advanced to the final round of four teams after Indiana University East bowed out in the opening round on Thursday.
Baker’s score of 8.300 was enough to edge out runner-up Wayland Baptist University (Texas) who finished with 8.204.
Midland University (Neb.) came in third place with a score of 8.196 and Benedictine College (Kan.) rounded out the final four with a score of 8.177.
Out of the four finalists, Baker was also named the top squad for innovative choreography.
